Michael Stewart is a Chartered Surveyor and Managing Director of Niyam Consulting which he has been running since November 2001.

Niyam Consulting is a multi-disciplinary Chartered Surveyors consultancy aiming to provide good quality advice to both residential and commercial clients.

Michael leads a team of consultants who are all members of the following Institutions:

• The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
• Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
• Royal Town Planning Institute
• Chartered Institute of Building
• Association of Planning Supervisors
• Association of Project Managers

Michael and his team can advise clients on anything from Party Wall Awards, CDM, Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations to Building Regulation and Planning submissions and appeals. All drawings are produced by Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Tom Jones
(Chartered Town Planner and MRTPI)

In ten years as a qualified planner, Tom has covered all aspects of Local Authority Planning at County, Unitary and Borough levels. Through his strength as an organiser, motivator and with clear and lateral thinking, he has brought many organisations together for a number of projects to ensure robust and comprehensive Sustainability Appraisal and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Tom has an extensive knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Screening and Scoping; Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening, Reports and Audit; Sustainability Appraisal Reports and Audi; Facilitation of public consultation and SA/SEA and EIA training.

Tom has been trained as a facilitator by the Environment Council and has facilitated community consultation for Surrey County Council’s Waste Development Framework.
